Bubba Kush traces its heritage to roughly 1996 Oakland — a Kush-pedigree indica with parentage in the OG Kush and Hindu Kush families. The cultivar is one of the foundational California indicas, predating most of the modern dessert-pedigree hybrids by more than a decade. Flowers carry a distinctive coffee-and-chocolate aroma layered over classic Kush earthiness. Effects are heavy and classically "stoning" — full-body relaxation with appetite stimulation and the canonical couchlock that defined late-1990s indica culture. THC tests commonly land in the 17-22% range. Bubba Kush remains widely-cloned and stocked across California legal markets as one of the most-recognizable indica heritage lines.
