Trainwreck is a Northern California heirloom whose origins trace to the 1970s — a sativa-dominant cross of Mexican, Thai, and Afghani landrace genetics. The cultivar is one of the foundational California sativas, predating most modern Cookies-line hybrids by several decades. Flowers carry a sharp pine and lemon aroma layered over earthy spice — a terpene profile rare in the modern dessert-pedigree wave. Effects come on fast and skew strongly cerebral: energetic, focus-oriented, creative, with minimal body component. THC tests commonly land in the 18-25% range. Trainwreck remains a heritage fixture across California legal markets and is one of the more-recognizable pre-Cookies-era sativas still widely-stocked alongside modern hybrids.
